Erasmus+ Visit from Brno
A Week of Cultural Exchange and New Friendships – Erasmus+ Visit from Brno
31.05. - 07.06.2025
The Czech students arrived in Mureck on Saturday and were welcomed with a delicious dinner. On Sunday, our guests spent the morning exploring Maribor, followed by a relaxing afternoon at Röcksee, where some of our students joined them for swimming and casual conversations. The day ended with a shared dinner.
On Monday, the students from Brno visited our school. After a short, guided tour through the school cluster they had the opportunity to observe a few lessons. After lunch break, we all met at the Sulmbad in Kaindorf for a teambuilding activity. We split into groups and had to work together to build a raft. This required communication and teamwork. We then also tested the rafts and were proud of the results.
Tuesday took us to the Zotter Chocolate Factory in Riegersburg, where we enjoyed an exciting tour and lots of chocolate. Due to rainy weather, we had some free time in the afternoon before meeting again at Buschenschank Bernhart to enjoy a traditional Styrian “Buschenschankjause.”
On Wednesday we spent the entire day in Graz. After a museum tour in the morning we split into small groups and took part in a fun Graz rally, discovering the city’s landmarks in an interactive way. We wrapped up the day with a shared lunch and some more free time in the city.
Thursday was dedicated to exploring educational institutions. The students from the Brno grammar school visited BORG Feldbach, while the students from the pedagogical school joined a workshop at our Praxiskindergarten, learning more about Austria's elementary education system.
On Friday, our last day together, we showcased Styrian culture with traditional food, music, clothing, and more. In the evening, we spent time together at the Motorikpark in Gamlitz, followed by a relaxed farewell at Cabasso in Leibnitz, where we played pool. That evening we said our goodbyes. The following day, the students from Brno returned home.
It was a memorable week full of laughter, learning, and connection. We are proud to say that many new friendships were formed.
